01 • LOCAL NEED & RATIONALE

Why targeted learning support is proposed in Daman

Local context

Daman is a coastal industrial centre with a large migrant-worker population and surrounding settlements. Children in worker, migrant and informal settlements often experience mobility, irregular household income and limited access to structured after-school learning.
