01 • LOCAL NEED & RATIONALE

Why targeted learning support is proposed in Srinagar

Local context

Srinagar is the Kashmir Valley’s principal urban and education centre, where continuity, winter conditions and digital access can affect vulnerable learners. Seasonal conditions and periods of learning disruption can increase the value of resilient, offline-capable learning support and student mentoring.

04 • INTERVENTION MODEL

Project description

ACS Foundation proposes a 12-month education and digital inclusion project in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, for approximately 675 children and adolescents from economically vulnerable communities. The project will establish or support 5 community learning hubs, provide around 450 school/learning kits, deliver remedial and foundational learning sessions, expand guided digital access, and provide targeted scholarships, mentoring and girl-child retention support.
